Danielle Dahl, MSML

Writer, Editor, & Leadership Expert

As the co-founder of Resilient Stories, Danielle Dahl immerses herself in real-life tales that epitomize resilience, triumph, and remarkable personal growth. With over 1000 articles penned for platforms like EverydayPower, Medium, and News Break, her passion lies in exploring the facets of team and personal development, trauma, and motivation.

Danielle holds a Master’s in Management and Leadership and spent nearly 20 years managing in various industries before pivoting to mental health and writing. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology from Northcentral University, and is deeply committed to the cathartic power of storytelling.

Danielle’s young life was filled with instances of abuse, neglect, and trauma – the daughter of an addict, abandoned by both biological parents by age five and raised by grandparents, and then officially adopted right before high school when her mother entered witness protection. She was then reunited with her mother in early adulthood, only to be retraumatized in the process.

As a teen, Danielle’s coping mechanisms became perfectionism, overachieving, and self-isolation. She graduated with her first college degree before finishing high school, before going on to earn her B.S. and masters before realizing that was not the life or career path she wanted for herself.

Growing up, Danielle only wanted two things – to be a writer and to help people like herself, who carry their wounds and traumas, afraid to embrace who they’d be without them. Or who they could be now, despite them. Through her blog Resilient Stories, I has found a way to do both!
